Finally tonight…
Three posts in one night? Am I avoiding the dreaded return of the children tomorrow? Nope, just avoiding my grad school homework.
Open road tolling in Illinois is supposed to relieve traffic congestion along Illinois’ toll roads. So far, all it has done is make driving miserable as construction has restricted those usual free flowing lanes of speedy goodness into bastions of brakelights.
Finally, my personal artery clog, the Army Trail toll plaza, has undergone bypass surgery, and is now cholesterol-free. (of construction) Now I just have to see what happens when the fat burrito of traffic driving home tomorrow does to it. (What a terrible analogy.)
Thanks, Dr. Rod!
In case you’re interested, IDOT launched a new website that tells you about construction in Illinois. I’ll be interested to see if it keeps updated.
Back to school tomorrow. Time to make the doughnuts. Goodnight.

3. January 2006 | 09:01 hI do have to commend Rod for doing “some” good to the toll roads. 88 is now 4 lanes wide between Aurora and Lisle which now will clog the 3 lanes from Naperville RD to 294/290 junction. Sorry Zigzag, just when you thought it was all good.

3. January 2006 | 10:02 hYou know what would really help alleviate traffic? Getting rid of the frickin’ tolls altogether!
